Sizing information
MUNRO rings are based on the British & Australian sizing standard. If you already know your ring size, great! You are ready to order. If you know your ring size in a different sizing standard, you can convert it HERE
If you are unsure, we recommend visiting your local jeweller and asking to get your ring finger sized. Taking the time to find the perfect fit is the best investment you can make before purchasing a ring.
Listed below are some helpful tips for ensuring the perfect fitting ring.
- Avoid taking measurements when the hands are cold – finger circumference can shrink up to an entire half size when the blood vessels are constricted. If possible, try sizing your finger in the late afternoon/evening, as the human body tends to expand over the course of the day.
- Humans are not symmetrical. Do not assume that the circumference of corresponding fingers on both hands are identical, as they almost never are.
- Always measure for the hand and finger that the ring is to be worn on. Ideally you want a snug fit as the ring passes over the second knuckle of the finger. The wider the band of the ring, the greater the surface area that will be in contact with the knuckle as the ring is being put on or taken off. This means thicker bands may require you to wear a larger size than what is measured.
- Because hand, finger and knuckle shape differs so widely from person to person, there is no universal rule for upsizing, however it is typically between ½ -1 size larger than what is measured. We recommend taking this into consideration when purchasing the 10mm band size.
